A coming of age and beyond. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:23px\"><br>Safe From Home<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must feel safe cause I don\u2019t know<br>\nwhere you sleep at night. <br>\nSafely tucked in sweet illusion <br>\npretending you were right. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re mistake\u2019less in forsake\u2019ness. <br>\nOnly in your dreams. <br>\nWith a new twist\u2026 My replacement. <br>\nNo time to cry for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be safe from my hands. <br>\nSlipped away into the night. <br>\nSafe in the fact that darkness <br>\nsteals time and steals your sight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t you see it crawling towards you? <br>\nCreeping up, in your mind? <br>\nLonely, no where to turn to <br>\nin the corner of your eye. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can\u2019t you hear me like a heartbeat <br>\npound on these walls, alone? <br>\nCan\u2019t you feel me, like a heartbreak? <br>\nOr are you safe from home?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Llewellyn Gannon is a poet, a visual artist, as well as a mother and a wife.
