Her first poetry chapbook, \u201cThe Flying Onion,\u201d will be released through The Paragon Journal in the spring of 2018.\u00a0<\/em><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Portrait of Emotions<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Emotions are as important as organs,<br \/>\nand just as susceptible to danger.<br \/>\nThey are a jury and victim to words,<br \/>\ntarget to rocks and dagger.<\/p>\n<p>So, the country of what I feel<br \/>\nis based on belief and not fact.<br \/>\nIt all comes down to if it\u2019s logical,<br \/>\nand if you shall believe the logic.<\/p>\n<p>They are not subject to x-ray,<br \/>\nand can be distorted by convenience,<br \/>\nand morphed by time or theme,<br \/>\ntraveling with me like a third ear.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Mother at a Concession Stand<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Before the showing of the film,<br \/>\nI stand at the counter with my brood.<br \/>\nWhich candy would suit me best?<\/p>\n<p>The stand is lit up like a bulb.<br \/>\nOkay!
