This specific poem was written for a poetry competition where the topic was \u201cPeace.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:23px\"><br>Peace in my mind <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fine <br>\nFine is a feeling I find myself feeling most of the time <br>\nBut sometimes it leaves and with it, it takes my inner peace of mind <br>\nBut I don\u2019t want peace all the time<br>\nI just want to control what is mine <br>\nBut sometimes I cant control who I am and that is not fine <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s hard to deal with me <br>\nIt\u2019s hard to make you see <br>\nIt\u2019s hard to tell you, but please, please don\u2019t leave me be <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes my demons have a feast <br>\nA feast of my inner peace <br>\nA feast to tear me down <br>\nA feast to show me how <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unimportant I am <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I can\u2019t let them win <br>\nI can\u2019t let them in <br>\nI can\u2019t let them feast <br>\nFeast on my inner peace <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I crave that feeling of fine <br>\nI crave control of my mind<br>\nI want to be who I am <br>\nBut I\u2019m never sure if I can <br>\nThen finally <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peace <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let this feeling never cease <br>\nLet my thoughts of it increase <br>\nOnly at that time will I feel fine <br>\nOnly then will I have <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peace in my mind <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eli Schoppe-Fischer is an 18 year old male from Houston, Texas.
