{"id":2326,"date":"2020-09-03T01:02:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-03T01:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/underwoodpress.com\/ruescribe\/?p=2326"},"modified":"2020-08-16T18:06:46","modified_gmt":"2020-08-16T18:06:46","slug":"three-poems-by-j-h-martin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/underwoodpress.com\/ruescribe\/2020\/09\/03\/three-poems-by-j-h-martin\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Poems by J H Martin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:23px\"><br><strong>\u5929 \u6027<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s raining today<br>But yesterday was fine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Masters<br>Know the way of heaven<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The green jade melody<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strung between moments<br>Flushed with the dawn<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sun comes<br>And the stars go<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the way of things<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To look out of my window<br>To burn paper with doubt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is the dew of clouds I lead<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back through the night<br>Back though the world<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here \u2013<br>The rain falls harder<br>On this morning pass<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will not proceed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:23px\"><br><strong>\u5fc3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will not lose you<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not to the illusions<br>Or to the delusions<br>Painted on<br>This fleeting dream<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the white lies<br>By the colours<br>By the flower words<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No \u2013 I cannot<br>Control the ignorance<br>And \u2013 no \u2013 I cannot<br>Overthrow the suffering<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I can focus on you<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beautiful<br>Boundless<br>Forever present<br>In this eternal morgue<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fire will not burn<br>And the ashes<br>Will not scatter this<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As above<br>So as below<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Darkness passes to the light<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I could never lose you<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:23px\"><br><strong>\u4ed9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sky<br>May be grey<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that<br>Doesn\u2019t mean change<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out in the marshes<br>White cranes will cry<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And up in the heavens<br>New gods will hear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All dew drops of mist<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this \u2013<br>Imperfect pane<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\"><br><em>J H Martin is from London, England but has no fixed abode.
