It’s Sunday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your laughter
comes in cascades when
I toss your curly hair
tickling those big ears
with long blades of grass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stop at the lake startling
frogs just before they leap
away. Listen to squirrels brush
over carpets of crunchy leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You turn to hold me, hold me
hurry it’s late. Pink clouds ribbon
heaven and I want your arms
around me forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Green Rain<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I woke up
\nlooked out
\nmy window
\nand saw green
\npouring down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trees cascading
\nover emerald grass.
\nThis noon
\nswollen wet
\nbursting water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now even heaven
\nis tinted jade
\nas birds linger
\nunder branches
\nlistening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


This Evening<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Becomes starry sapphire
\nas chimes tap against
\nour windowpane. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sea gulls rise in
\nflight over rooftops.
\nWinds wrapping around
\ntrees tossing leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The court yard is full of
\naromas from dinnertime.
\nShadows growing longer
\neach minute. Lights go
