The Cowboy<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To be the sand under his spur.
\nTo feel him dismount onto earth.
\nDig a hole within our core,
\nestablish space wherein we’re sure,
\nhe lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To be the water inside his tin.
\nTo douse all of where he’s been.
\nDrench his soul with our drips,
\nenlivening sand-dry lips,
\nhe lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To be the fire under his hands.
\nTo feel him stop our expanse.
\nHum a tune to our flight,
\nensuring use of warmth tonight,
\nhe lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meandering<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lackadaisical way in which
\nhe meanders through the land
\nis mesmerizingly beautiful
\nas you watch each step through sand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All four hooves slowly drift
\ninto each newfound place.
\nThe cowboy travels as though without
\na thought to mimic our rude haste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pure, simplistic time he’s found
\nwithout searching for its air.
\nIn awe of all he has to feel
\nwe can\u2019t help but stare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
